Gran Canaria, also known as the ‘round island’ because of its circular shape is 47 km wide and has 236 km of coastline. In the southeast are the famous beaches of Playa del Inglés and Maspalomas with the most amazing sand dunes. The southwest and west coasts are dominated by cliffs, and in the north and northeast of the island the coastline is very diversified, offering a wide variety of beaches and coves. The centre of the island is mountainous with high peaks, lush greenery and many gorges radiating out towards the sea.
This beautiful island is a perfect family villa holiday destination, with many theme and entertainment parks and excellent activities for all age groups. The Aquasur water park is just outside Maspalomas and is the largest water park in Gran Canaria with dozens of slides and attractions including Kamikaze, Rapids, Congo River and Mini Golf.
