Nestled amongst olive groves and with magnificent views to the sea and the mountains that ring this beautiful part of Crete, Villa Dimitri is an ideal holiday villa in which to relax with the family. This two storey villa is within easy reach of the beach with its many watersports activities, with a range of local tavernas and restaurants nearby and with the shops and nightlife of the bustling port town of Rethymno within easy reach there is entertainment and relaxation for all ages.
InteriorAn open-plan living, dining and kitchen area has two sets of double patio doors opening onto the poolside terrace and is a comfortable, bright space in which to relax. There is an open fireplace in the living area for cosy evenings on cooler autumn nights and the villa is also equipped with inverted air-conditioning and central heating to ensure comfort all year round. The kitchen is fully-equipped with modern appliances and everything necessary to enjoy a self-catering villa holiday. There are three bright, modern bedrooms, one double and two twins. All have air-conditioning and enjoy views to the sea and mountains. The double bedroom has patio doors opening onto the terrace. The bedrooms share a full family bathroom with corner Jacuzzi bath and a shower room.
ExteriorThe exterior areas of the villa are attractively laid out with pool area, sunbathing and dining terraces and lawns. The living area opens onto a covered dining terrace with dining table and chairs patio furniture which is divided from the pool area by attractively planted flower boxes. The 7 x 3m swimming pool is accessed by integral steps and the surrounding sunbathing terraces enjoy spectacular views across the olive groves to the sea. There is an outdoor shower. To the side of the villa is a gated area laid to lawn and which is an ideal place for children to play. This area also has an outdoor food preparation area with traditional, Cretan built-in barbecue and has a second outdoor dining table and chairs with parasol. This is the ideal place to relax with friends and family over an evening meal whilst enjoying the sunset over the mountains and sea. The villa has a private parking area.
AmenitiesVilla Dimitri is situated in the charming, traditional Cretan village of Skouloufia which has a small selection of tavernas and bars in which to soak up the local atmosphere and enjoy the legendary Cretan hospitality. Seven kilometers from Skouloufia is the larger, seaside village of Stavromenos, which has a broader range of restaurants and bars and a sandy beach with watersports activities. Within easy driving distance of the villa is the historic port town of Rethymno, which boasts a buzzing nightlife around its Venetian port and Old Town area and miles of golden sandy beaches.
